The classical Norwegian postal ship route from Bergen up north along the coast and back.
After some time on board of a Hurtigruten ship — by some people it takes shorter, by some longer — you’ll become a timetable addict. You are on a ship which might stay in a harbor for 10 minutes only, and even if it stays longer, it will really start to sail at the planned departure time independent of the fact if everybody is on board or not. Everything goes according to the Sailing Plan (see also below).
In addition to the arrival and departure times, the latitude North becomes important, you know, the Polar Circle is to be crossed and Nordkapp circumvented and you will sail further east than the longitude of Istanbul reaching the present borders of Russian arctic.
Therefore we do not caption the photos of this journey in any other way than “Day Number :: Date Time :: Latitude, Longitude” leaving it to you to guess where we were. ,^)
